Tuscan Braised Short Rib

Wonderful delicious dish. Definitely comfort food.

The Tuscan Braised Short Ribs with ricotta polenta was okay. I wish we could say great as the meat was so tender and the polenta was a great complement to it. We wanted to love it but the Espagnole sauce was just too much…too overwhelming in both flavor and amount. The entree was swimming in the sauce and the herbs/spices used were too strong. It took the flavor attention off the ribs and gave both my husband and myself heartburn. Tone down the sauce spices and amount for this entree (the espagnole should be the backup singer not the star) and it would be 5 stars and one of our favorites.

It was delicious and we love it!
